We booked a 2-night stay with Jojo and his family, and it turned out to be an incredibly authentic experience — full of unforgettable memories. Jojo was extremely kind and delivered everything he promised. We explored all the locations by private boat, avoiding the big tour boats and crowds, which made the trip feel truly personal and peaceful. The snorkeling was amazing — vibrant corals, countless colorful fish, graceful turtles, majestic mantas, and even baby sharks! One of the absolute highlights was seeing the Komodo dragons up close — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the Pink Beach… it’s truly pink! The sand has a stunning rose hue, the water is insanely clear and turquoise, and it’s honestly the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. Arriving there on a small boat and having the whole place to ourselves made it even more magical. Jojo takes care of everything, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy. The accommodation is modest but very clean and comfortable. Don’t expect a luxury resort — instead, you’ll get a genuine glimpse into real local life on these beautiful, remote islands. If you’re looking for an authentic adventure with warm people, untouched nature, and unforgettable moments, this is the perfect choice.

It s the best homestay in Komodo. Directly on the beach with a great view. The homestay is clean and the food is so delicious! Jackie is a very good person and help in organize everything. He is a guide in Komodo park and can tell you every thing about them!. Really i suggest go there!

Nestled in Komodo village, my stay at this homestay hosted by Jeki was unforgettable. Jeki organized private tours tailored to my preferences, offering an authentic experience away from the tourist crowds (to see the Komodos, Mantas and for snorkeling). His expertise in Komodo dragon encounters, the ocean inhabitants and the region ensured memorable moments and stunning photographs. The homestay provided a simple (local standard) but cozy retreat with delicious local cuisine cooked by his wife. Seamless transfers and reliable internet access added to the convenience. For travelers seeking an immersive Komodo adventure, this homestay offers hospitality and local insight beyond compare. (Note: It's not a hotel; you stay with a local family.) Furthermore, I would like to point out that Jeki was super helpful via WhatsApp for transport arrangements & other questions and flexible in arranging the stay. Thank you! Do not book your boat tour, book this instead ! The host, Mr Jahiding, will be your tour guide. Everything is settled the moment you land in Labuan Bajo. A car will be there waiting to bring you to the harbour and a boat is chartered just for you to Komodo island and back. If you need a quick getaway and want the best wildlife and scenic experience, this is what you need. Komodo Village has one of the friendliest people you can ever meet. They are extremely welcoming and treat you just like family. The itinerary for your stay is so much better than the boat tours where so many activities are packed within your short stay on the boat. Living like a local, you can decide how long you spend snorkelling with the manta rays or just sitting by these prehistoric dinosaurs in the komodo national park (komodo dragons). During my stay, I managed to play football with the locals which was an experience on its own. The locals are so friendly that one of them even invited me to his personal home for a meal which was so heart warming. I was lucky enough to be invited to join the men to go on a spearfishing trip in the middle of the night which is not something your tour agencies can offer. Not to mention, I also caught my own dinner on my second day during snorkelling at one of the most remote beaches in the world. Doubt your tour boat allows for that. Everyone should experience this at least once and I would reccomend a good length of stay would be 4D3N which is perfect but 5D4N for the ultimate Komdo experience. Look for Mr Jahiding and I am confident he will make your experience here even better than mine. He speaks great english so communication was not an issue. You will enjoy the best and most delicious local food cooked by your very own home chef too (his wife). A very sad departure but I am confident I will be back. To Komodo FC, let's kick again one more time !

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The family who hosted us was very kind and helped arrange a local boat to take us to different beaches and snorkeling spots that were absolutely gorgeous (like manta point and pink beach). The host is a ranger at Komodo National Park and gave us a wonderful tour. It was very special to stay in the Muslim village on the sea and have a glimpse of life there. Everyone was very friendly and warm.

Beautiful villa! This is truly wonderful accommodation. Comfortable, large, modern, spacious, clean and bright! Well-equipped and beautifully decorated, with a garden and pool! This was the best accommodation of our entire trip! Furthermore, the owners are incredibly kind and helpful and communication with them was extremely easy! Highly recommended! It was a perfect stay and i hope i will be able to come back again!

Everything! The staff in all areas were excellent, the food and drinks were great for a remote island & the bungalow was clean & really comfortable. The diving was great even though it wasn't the best time of year for weather. The dive team are fantastic, boats are good & everything was well organised & safe. We'll be back for sure.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a...

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.
