Very quiet and untouched part of Bali. Beautiful, long, near-secluded, coconut-tree-fringed beaches in Kaliasem, just ten minutes out of the main Lovina strip area. Quiet and peaceful little town - reminded us of old Bali, when it was less busy and built-up. Plenty of restaurants and cafes without the hassle and noise of Legian, Seinyak etc. Not the most exciting place to shop, but great for peaceful walks along the beach. Visiting the waterfalls and the temple is just great and riding between the real rice fields is an amazing experience. Having just come from Amed and Ubud, lovina is definitely more touristy than Amed, but MUCH quieter than Ubud. There are more shops on the beach, market stalls, more women hassling you to look and buy their tank tops etc. men approaching you on the beach trying to get you to use them as your activity guide- quite intimidating. We did a dolphin tour, with Arik Pande - Lovina dolphin holiday - they don’t go with the masses of boats to chase the dolphins, they took us further out and there was only 10-15 boats together, and our guide never chased the dolphins. I felt it was with ethical, and LOVED this experience. W really enjoyed our time in Lovina. It’s easy to walk to the restaurants and shops. Infinity spa was the best massage we had the whole time we were in Bali. 200k idr, which I’d more expensive than we like to pay, but it was totally worth it. Tanda pizza bar is a 10/10 - the best pizza, calzone, pasta, panna cotta and limoncello we’ve had!!!Guest review byLeonieAustralia

Nia made an awesome breakfast when we had them and all of the locals were great. Nia kept the Villa so clean and it was so sad to leave. Willem was there when we arrived and was there to say goodbye. We certainly will be back and stay for a longer time. 20 out of 10!!! The people were very welcoming and the pool was lovely. Great location near beach and we could take a boat to see the dolphins just near our villa on the beach. Lovina is not busy like the south so you don't need to long there but was a very lovely place and was very cheap. We were able to have a massage in our villa and was able to walk to restarants/shops.
