We had a truly exceptional experience at Villa Mata Hari. The villa, the garden and the pool is perfectly designed and maintained and you can feel how much work and love the wonderful host, Lia, and her great staff put into this and that it is not just a hotel but a home. We were truly treated like family. Lia organised great tours for us (snorkeling with dolphins, short hikes to waterfalls) and we very much enjoyed Lia's cooking (beef rendang!) and especially our conversations with her. We loved the area, which provided us with the feeling of really experiencing Bali (sounds from hindu ceremonies and roosters included). The view from the villa over the sea is superb. Its too far to walk down to the city center or the beach, but Lia's driver got us there in no time.

We enjoyed our 7 nights here. The room is traditional The views of the sunrise over the valley is breathtaking. The room was comfy with fridge and aircon. The location is remote but we either walked the very steep hill to the village (20min) or to the river/waterfall past the rice fields up the mountain (20 min) or caught a taxi organised by our hosts at a fair price. We were spoilt each morning with a delicious vegan Bali breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much.

😊 Beautiful villas in the middle of nature with a beautiful view. We stayed in Villa Joglo, right next to the pool. 😊 Comfortable and clean pool with sun loungers. 😊 It is located near the Ayu and Aling Aling waterfalls, which are about a 10-minute walk away. 😊 As a bonus are monkey:-) 😊 Within walking distance, there is a grocery store and a few restaurants. 😊 Very tasty breakfast with a beautiful view. 😊 Great staff, always smiling. 😊 Shanti has its own restaurant with lunch and dinner, beer, wine and mixed drinks are also sold. The food is not excellent, but it is delicious. 😊 We had reserved double room, but manager upgraded it to Villa Joglo. Thank you so much:-)

We recently stayed at this wonderful place, and we absolutely loved it. Everything was spotless — the rooms and facilities were extremely clean. The property itself was beautiful, and the location was perfect. What really made our stay special, however, was the people. The Belgian owner was very welcoming, and the staff were some of the kindest we’ve ever met. One of the staff members even went out of her way to organize a little birthday surprise for my girlfriend on the last day of our stay, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. All in all, it was a truly memorable experience, and we cannot recommend this place enough.

i stayed with my fiance jhon for short escape, but what i found its more than what i expected. from the beginning we start with blessing , try their spa and of course yoga class its one of our favorite. Its balancing your soul and mind (how relaxing). Couldn't describe more for the exceptional service and view. Meet the nature that could heal all your problem. love it and definitely will come back again, Oh one things they also have vegan and tasty healthy food here :)
