Highly recommend staying here with Teldy and his family! Located in a beautiful small village amongst the hills and rice fields. Everyone was so welcoming! We got invited for coffee with one of the neighbours and had a lovely chat with Teldy in the morning over breakfast. Teldy’s wife Relyn also runs a great Homestay in Labuan Bajo! We got invited again for coffee when we got back to Labuan Bajo even though they were fully booked and we couldn’t stay there. Super welcoming local family!!

What wonderful hosts , so welcoming and helpful with tours and onward journey logistics. Idi is the ideal host, as his English and great conversations were a highlight of our stay with him in his family home . Our room was spacious, and ex lrg bed was super comfy + ensuite bathroom was adequate. The deck overlooking the lush surrounds was a lovely place to sit, Idi served us local fruit and avocados + fried bananas as welcome treats + we had a delicious dinner while we were there also cooked by Idi .our breakfast was also great with local breads and foods. A great experience in a unique homestay .

Jeff is such a great host along with his family. The home is really nice and the room was very comfortable. Bathrooms are shared but are more than adequate and clean. Also, the showers have hot water. The house is located out of town a bit, but that is a benefit as it is quiet and you get really great views from the home and near the home. Also, Jeff can arrange transfers and whatnot if you need to get into town. The morning sunrise trekking was such a highlight. Jeff took great pics and also knows the best spots! The dinner in the evening was also a highlight as you get to meet and eat with the other guests and discuss travel plans and feels very much like a community. The food was delicious. As a sidenote, if you are there, try to find out if there is a Caci Celebration happening at the same time. They don't happen very often, but if you are there at the same time as well, make sure to go see it if you can. I was lucky to go see one while i was there and was probably one of the best parts of my trip. Additionally, if you want to arrange a bigger tour (seeing Tado village or Spiderweb Rice Fields), talk to Jeff about arranging that for an additional reasonable cost. I would gladly come back here and hope to come back here in the future.

Natalia and her family, especially her daughters, were incredibly friendly, helpful and great hosts. They speak great English. The room and house were immaculate, very clean and comfortable. The garden is beautiful, they provided us coffee when we arrived, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Having access to the kitchen to have tea and coffee or other foods could be a bonus for some people. We rented a scooter for a great price from them to get around Ruteng and the surrounding area, as the homestay itself is quite far up the hill from the main part of town, but it's a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood.

Petronella, Alexander and Abel were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us into their home in such a cheerful and friendly way. They helped us renting a scooter and also with a phone call when we needed it. Petronella is also a wonderful chef and we enjoyed her simple and genuine cooking very much. The accommodation is very clean and simple but has everything you might need and the bed was really comfortable. The shower has hot water and that's a plus because in the evening the air is quite fresh. We can only recommend Skipper house!
