Beautiful and very cozy little Homestay with a wonderful garden and hang out area and a lovely little cafe. They did everything to accommodate us and we felt extremely relaxed and taken care of. They’re were all so lovely and we could have easily stayed for 2 or 3 days if we didn’t already have a guesthouse payed for in bajawa.

We loved to stay there with our family of five. We were welcomed by a great family and had a most lovely walk both in the city but especially in the rice fields around the house. Mister Adi and his family are most helpful for organising the rest of the trip in Flores. You can truly believe their great advice. Last point. The dinner at home is just excellent. Homestay done right. What an amazing hosts Jeff and Erne are. The homestay is away from Ruteng but in the middle of rice terraces and nature. Jeff ensures you have the best time at his place and his wife Erne makes the best local food with all her heart. Do not miss out on the Tempe (the best we had in Indonesia). The rooms are very comfortable and the views are also amazing. Jeff will take you to the rice terrace hike in the morning. do not miss out on it.

Natalia and her family, especially her daughters, were incredibly friendly, helpful and great hosts. They speak great English. The room and house were immaculate, very clean and comfortable. The garden is beautiful, they provided us coffee when we arrived, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Having access to the kitchen to have tea and coffee or other foods could be a bonus for some people. We rented a scooter for a great price from them to get around Ruteng and the surrounding area, as the homestay itself is quite far up the hill from the main part of town, but it's a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood.

Petronella, Alexander and Abel were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us into their home in such a cheerful and friendly way. They helped us renting a scooter and also with a phone call when we needed it. Petronella is also a wonderful chef and we enjoyed her simple and genuine cooking very much. The accommodation is very clean and simple but has everything you might need and the bed was really comfortable. The shower has hot water and that's a plus because in the evening the air is quite fresh. We can only recommend Skipper house!
