This hotel was the pearl of our trip due to its coziness and atmosphere. The owner of the hotel and his family did everything to make our stay there unforgettable. Delicious home-cooked food, clean comfortable rooms, calm atmosphere, landscape design, everything was great. The organized excursion from the hotel to the beach of Sukamade, where turtles lay their eggs - it was the best adventure of the whole trip.

This place is everything you want in a homestay, Great location close to the beach 300m, small warungs and small supermarket close by. The homestay has a great homely feel about it, David the host is friendly and has great local knowledge from surfing to placers to go see around the area. Surfboard rental is available if need. Ari David’s employee cooks you a great breakfast and if you need a massage Ari is the lady.

The property is just steps away from the surf spot, and the selection of rental boards is not only extensive but also in excellent condition—something rare in the area. Absolutely perfect – we’ll definitely be back! We had an unforgettable 10 days at Jessy’s Homestay! The food was absolutely fantastic – every meal freshly prepared with so much love and flavor. The entire place is super clean; our room was cleaned daily, the bed made fresh every morning, and we even got new towels every day – just amazing! The indoor pool is beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day out. Paul and Sri, their daughter Jessie, and the whole staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made us feel like part of their family from day one. The surfing at the near by beach is hard to beat. Getting to the beach is just a 2min walk. Leaving after 10 wonderful days was really hard – thank you all for this amazing time. We’ll definitely come back one day! ❤️🌴

Awesome location on the most beautiful beach we've seen in Java. The staff is exceptionally hospitable. The room was very clean, comfortable and right next to the pool (which was really clean and warm too). They have their own kitchen for breakfast/lunch/dinner whenever you want, the food was really delicious and was always prepared with a smile. The fridge with drinks/ice cream was a great bonus, and so was the laundry service. They also offer surf lessons and surfboard rental. Thanks for taking such good care of us! Definitely recommend this place.

We were met by Hendro, a very nice host! We got a welcome drink by the restaurant he has just by the beach (200m away). This is also where we got our breakfast which were very nice and filling banana pancakes. He has a banana tree just around the corner and we got soo many small bananas for a snack. Hendro is very talkative and will gladly show you the nice places around Pulau Merah and can provide you with transport to and from his homestay if requested. We only stayed for one night, but wished that we could have stayed longer due to the nice area and vibes the place was giving. The dinner at his restaurant was really nice as well - we recommend trying local food! Hendro also helped us getting surfing lessons for very cheap, and the life guards were very kind and good at teaching us surfing. you get one instructor per person and surfboard availability for the entire day. The waves are best in the morning and evening, so it is a good idea to start the day early, before the sun gets too strong. Be aware to stay within the lifeguard flags, as the currents can we very strong on the far ends of the beach. We would definitely go back to Hendro as we had an amazing and pleasant stay!
