Vogelkopf is a young resort nestled within a mangrove forest, with a jetty that extends out to a diverse and well kept house reef, at which we saw a dugong, trumpet fish, banner fish, clown fish, giant clams, and were also told you could see dolphins and turtles at the right time. The sunsets were outstanding and you could hear the songs of Imams echoing across the water (although the resort itself was protected from this noise). Our room was spacious and had great air conditioning. In particular, the bed was extremely comfortable. Vogelkopf is well furnished, and exactly like the pictures. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and ended up staying twice. The owners were very welcoming and helped organise us with a scooter, tour company and scuba dive group. Brezel was a great host and kindly helped us with phone difficulties, providing us with an SD card and aiding with international transfers. Corwyn and Pricilia also drove us into town to explore the local market and fresh produce and also kindly dropped us at the ferry at the end of our stay. Also, Frengklin is a fantastic chef and we always looked forward to our meals, which were included in the cost. This is was the best food we had in Raja Ampat. Special mention to staff Raka and Hadya, who had excellent spoken English and made us feel welcome.

I choosed this Hotel for my last nights in Raja Ampat, because there is AC, Wifi and it's close to the ferry port. Room was great! Bed comfortable, AC works great, nice view from the terrace. Wifi stable. All staff members were super friendly, nice and helpful. Food was amazing, best I had in RA. They even did my laundry for free. The beach is a dream and near the jetty from another Resort close by, there are amazing corals, very good snorkeling opportunities. Area is secluded, very quiet, just a few other Homestays, nice kids all around. Tours to Kali Biru or Birds of paradise are available. I can not say thank you enough for these great days.

Exceptionally great staff. Property with great access to good house reef. Spaced out and Nicely set out grounds in peaceful natural surroundings. Standard of accommodation high. Fabulous beautifully cooked lunch and supper. Only open a year and still developing and will only get better I think. Staff will help manage your ferry transit and arrange trips to suit your personal interests.

The location is amazing, with a private beach with white sand. They have a jetty from where one can see some mind blowing sunsets and some crazy sun rises. The staff is amazing, the most beautiful people I have ever encountered in my life. Hope to come back there soon.

Heaven on earth. The rooms are exquisite, new and very well equipped. Just overall, unbelievable. Waking up here recharged our batteries. The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.
