Tuk Tuk is mainly where beginner tourists stay, just like me. Tuk Tuk has many restaurants, cafes, hotels, resorts, homestays and guesthouses. Those are located along the main road at Tuk Tuk as well. If you do not want to spend on cafes and restaurants, no worries, there are convenient stores and shops along the main road. Very simple. But I would suggest people go to the restaurant and eat their local cuisines and seafood for the better. The only downside is the main road of Tuk Tuk is very troublesome and tough to walk and cycle as it is very steep going up and down. It is not a road that is stable. The scene there was beautiful and breath-taking. The whole of Samosir will likely only take you about 3-4 days to finish visiting if you have transport. However, my partner and I were there for 8 days and took our time walking around and relaxing. Fantastic Lake Toba - view stay ! very easy access from Parapat. Boats available every hour. Accommodation like Gokhon available directly from the boat. marine activity directly from the accommodation. Lots of places to visit in a island. Tuktuk is a beautiful and comfortable place for a vacation, its location on the shores of Lake Toba which is not sandy so you can jet sky but not play on the sand on the beach. many inns ranging from home stay to hotel. Currently December 2022, most of the properties are not well maintained, there are boats from Parapat to Tuktuk.Guest review byEva

Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. The breakfast was lovely served and offered a variety of food (Omelett, Fried eggs, pancake, fruits, toast, juice etc). The room was spacious and had a nice balcony with lake views. The hosts were definitely the best part, so kind and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I had a fan, toilet paper, towel, free water refills and hot water in the shower which is rare here! It is in a quieter area but not far from delicious food.
