From the moment we drove through the archway entrance we were in awe. We were greeted by Michael who walked us through to the mustard drawing room for plunger coffee and tea cake. Michael was happy to answer all our questions on this simply beautiful 1740s home, exquisitely furnished over many years. We stayed in the large four poster bedroom, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was in a closet, so quirky. Breakfast was excellent and served in the beautiful dining room with all the finery you normally see only on display in cabinets. Michael provided us with crockery so that we could sit in the alcove in the beautifully maintained gardens and enjoy a takeaway meal. A midday checkout was very welcome. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely home with charming hosts.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking.

Drive into town through a cyclone, all the power was off, arrived to beautiful candlelit foyer and two girls running around trying to make everyone comfortable. After hanging out and relaxing it was found the power was on in their other property across the road, we were offered a beautiful manor for the night and had an amazing evening!

The Hotel Imperial is in Dundalk town centre, close to all the major attractions and shops, bars and restaurants. It has free parking, modern bars and coffee shop.
