Loved Ballinasloe. Perfect little town.
Loved Ballinasloe. Perfect little town. My Mother's family lived nearby years ago and descendants still in area. For us perfect and lucky with the weather too. Gullanes hotel the very best to get the most of hospitality in the area and hear those amazing local people in town. Ballinasloe in itself is a small town, it took us an afternoon to walk around, visit the different shops, the marina and the three churches. It's very pleasant and the locals are friendly. On the Friday we left there was a indoor market by the cinema selling handmade items from buns to marmalade to baby gifts. Hotel Was very central to the town and shops. Not a lot do at night. We spent most of the next day in Galway Salthill and Barna, as the evening event I was meant to attend on the Sunday was cancelled. Restaurant in the hotel was very good and very accommodating too.Guest review byPaulaIreland

Check in person not as helpful. I checked in and was just handed my room key. No explanation about breakfast location or times, bar food, or where the elevators were. Literally handed a key. I know the times are written on the room card but I’ve never been in a hotel that everything wasn’t explained at check in.
