The Farmhouse was built of stone in the 1700s.
The Farmhouse was built of stone in the 1700s. Fascinating for us Canadians where our houses are most likely made of wood. The house was very spacious, modern without being sterile and very rural. You are out in the country so a car is probably needed but...
You are out in the country so a car is probably needed but the mountain views are wonderful and the quiet is lovely. It's a short drive to Killarney and all the shopping and restaurants you could ever want. The property was in a beautiful courtyard setting on the grounds of Beaufort House . Beautiful gardens, space and exterior for kids. It was nestled amongst a tranquil countryside setting .The house was spacious , charm and very homely. The hosts did their utmost to help us. It was only 10 minutes from the centre of Killarney so we had the best of both worlds. We will definately go back in the future. Well located for the Ring of Kerry, Gap of Dunlop and Killarney National Park, it is in peaceful and beautiful farmland. Our host Ulrike was extremely helpful with local information, suggestions for where to go etc. The breakfasts were amazing with a great choice. But I have to tell you somehow now that son Fergal and his wife Jen have taken it over, it's even better. It has always been a comfortably family style B&B that has made every effort to make guests comfortable.
