Rooms are very spacious, including very good en suite bathroom. Hotel very warm in winter, and breakfast very satisfying. Had a great evening meal as well, everything was excellent. Conveniently located to explore the historical remains in the town on foot, and the town itself. Staff friendly and hard working.

Katie’s Cottage is a very cozy and comfortable house in the countryside, equipped with everything you need for a few days’ holiday. You’ll find a kitchen with a good gas stove and all you need for real cooking. On a colder day, the solid fuel (wood) stove in the living room gives some very pleasant additional warmth. Brian is a very kind and helpful host, and he has prepared some bits and pieces of information that are not only really helpful to understand where you are and what to do, but are really personal in character. We liked to follow some of this advice, felt quite at home and would have liked to stay for some more days …

Everything! We were on a mission to look for family contacts in the area. Nicole and Simon were incredibly generous with their time, as has been mentioned before. Between them we've been sent down more rabbit holes to investigate. Breakfasts were yummy, beds were sublimely comfy. The house and grounds amazing. Even the toiletries in the bathroom were special. We could have stayed a year. Thank you to our very gracious hosts.

Lovely family atmosphere and staff were very attentive to all needs. Loved the fact that the 3 children had proper single beds rather than sofa beds or sharing beds as in other hotels and all beds were very comfy.

Clancy's pub and restaurant provided good range on menu for breakfast, lunch and supper. The pub contains display of owner's nephew's international referee neck ties in recognition of refereeing multiple international rugby matches including the first Rugby World Cup. Also rare framed signed copy by participants of the North of Ireland Good Friday Peace Agreement. Proprietor's father, Jack, is a mine of information about people and Bruff including the old RIC Barracks which had a cellar, now filled in but then had a tunnel to escape through if needed. The village itself is small but with picturesque surroundings and near to Lough Gur the important Archaeological site stretching back over 6,000 years with well presented Visitor Centre

Bruff is at the heart of an area of Ireland anchored by Lough Gur, with one of the oldest and largest stone circles in Ireland, the Grange Stone Circle, along with ancient dolmens, and more recent castles and friaries. Only a short drive from Adare and even Limerick, Bruff itself is a tiny town, but with a huge heart, and we found it to be the most wonderful place to stay for several nights - we wish we could have stayed much longer. The Old Bank B&B offered top-quality accomodations, but still made us feel like family; Clancy's bar offered wonderful and welcoming hospitality as well as excellent pub food; and the streets of Bruff were both safe and very walkable...

The house was exactly what we expected and loved the area! We only got to stay one night but would definitely return in the summer. The hosts were so helpful, there had been a bad snow storm and we received road condition updates in the days leading up to our trip down to Bruff. A great location base for day trips in the surrounding area. Highly recommend

What a wonderful stay. I was en route to Mallow from Dublin and needed a place to stay. I didn’t want a hotel. The accommodation is exactly as per the photos. It’s quaint, timeless and elegant. My room was huge with everything you would expect. Even an electric fan. Miriam was so welcoming. It was lovely to be her guest.

Beautiful room with 4 poster bed and spa bath. Miriam was an exceptional hostess and the breakfast was superb. We hadn’t booked it but I’m so glad that we added it to our stay. Bruff is a little down at heel and food options aren’t great. There’s a chip shop and a pub selling food. But The Old Bank is truly wonderful.
