The host is an absolute gentleman. They have put a lot of hard work into this fine buiilding to provide accommodation in the hearth of the town . They went out of their way to accommodate me, far beyond what I could have asked for. Snacks and drinks are freely available to take. The place is clean and modern and all that one needs. The extra mile the host went made all the difference, from helping me out with parking for a large van to booking a meal in a fantastic local restaurant a few doors up. He even made arrangements to purchase a chair that I spotted on my behalf from a local shop across the road because, due to other commitments, I was unable to be around during the shop opening times, it was waiting for me when I got back.. The town itself is a little gem, and everyone I met was hospitable and genuine. I thought we had lost that in Ireland but I've been proven wrong. Thank you for everything.

From the moment I got here this place exceeded my expectations. It was lovely and I was met by a wonderful staff member upon my arrival. I then was showed two separate rooms to choose from, both of which had my name in chalk on them which was so kind and very personal and sweet touch. The rooms are all individual and so cute, Some have sinks in them and others have a little movie projector set up that you can stream from your phone. I also had a meeting I had to have there and the internet was so good. The kitchen is wonderful and a great place to store food and they will even cook you a pizza and bring it to your room with a friendly little puppy as well. I cannot say enough great things about this place, every detail was thought out and has a air of humor to it. The bathroom has a game of thrones theme and you sit on the chair of the iron throne and there is even a little book in there called "games on thrones". Its hilarious snd wonderful. Did I mention there are hot tubs and a sauna. What an amazing stay and place.

Claremorris is a lovely town, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. It's an excellent base for visiting Galway City and also Co Galway, Co Mayo and Knock Shrine (a must). Only half an hour drive from Ireland West Airport. Loved staying at the McWilliam Park Hotel.

Claremorris is a good base with restaurants and a rail connection to Westport, Castlebar and Ballina (Dublin too. Places worth visiting are Cong, Achill Island, Turlogh museum, Westport House, Connemara, Jackie Clarke museum in Ballina. The shrine at Knock is close if you like that sort of thing. Lots of facilities in the area such as a leisure centre and also a shopping centre with a late opening chemist. There are also a number of supermarkets and pubs / restaurants close by. Lovely town that is close to a number of locations so ideal if you are planning to travel around the Mid West of Ireland or further afield. Good coach and bus links plus a train station too, so plenty of travel options, including being close to Knock Airport.

This place is advertised as a hotel and they even took our payment for it but unfortunately we found out the hard way and ended up missing a wedding because of this place it no longer runs as a hotel and you cannot stay here shame on them for advertising as such booking com should delete the western hotel claremorris as it's a pure joke
