Absolutely gorgeous little cottage. Spotlessly clean , wish we’d been in summer as the newly laid garden & shrubs would be the perfect place to sit with a cuppa! Everything there that you could want. Lots of lovely little personal touches like doggy treats , hot water bottles & the just came in before we arrived and had the fire burning away! We came in a wagon and Angela & her husband organised safe parking for us. They couldn’t do enough for us

Super clean, comfortable beds, responsive and friendly hosts, a perfect stay right down to the little details like homemade jam and peanut butter with breakfast foods awaiting us and snacks. They had everything we needed and even had special accommodations for our 10mo baby. Loved our stay, would love to stay longer and highly recommend to other guests.

Ann’s property is set in an idyllic location for peace and quiet. The property was spotless and cosy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The host Ann is a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome and accommodated us at late notice for an additional night even after we had checked out. Would highly recommend

The hotel is beautiful inside and out, the staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The riverside will always be my first choice of hotels when looking for a break or relaxing weekend. Couldn’t recommend it any more.

Nicely located on the side of a hill on the outskirts of town. Has a country club feel about it. Good reception and check in. Good service and staff. All on one level, spacious clean and welcoming .Comfortable attractive rooms. Small handy snack machine in hall. Attractive and comfortable dining and bar area inside. Also enjoy a meal or maybe a guiness or Irish whisky in the spacious forecourt taking in the sun in the afternoon with distant views beyond the Barrow River A very enjoyable breakfast in separate area inside. A short walk into town by the lower main road or up the slope at the end of hotel driveway and in to town past a small supermarket nice corner shop and along past the three bullet gate, town wall (road) and tower ruin, nice little pub opposite the park and on to the historic St Mays church and Abbey ruins and meander down into town and the wharf area.(most shops closed on Sunday)
