Dunfanaghy is a beautiful part of Co Donegal with lots to do. The village itself has lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. We loved our walk through Lurgabrack nature reserve to Tramore Beach, one of the best beaches we have ever been too! Dunfanaghy is a fantastic Spot to holiday in. Lots of little restaurants like Lizzie's for great food (Seafood Chowder is a must!). We loved getting our walk around Horn Head and went for a little swim in the water at Marble Hill Beach. We visited for the Blues and Jazz festival.Guest review byHelen - 10.0

Beautiful part of the country. So much to explore. We had 5 nights and could have stayed longer exploring. Kids loved heading to beech even in evening after a day out. Was great to have a few options close by. Few nice places to eat. Some of local shops a bit dearer for groceries but that's to be expected in a holiday town. You won't go hungry or bored in Dunfanaghy. We had the car so got to explore further but still would have liked some more time. The house just outside Dunfanaghy was a great location for exploring the area. The beaches were awesome but the weather wasn't good enough to make full use.....that's just how it goes....just means I'll need to go again. There were plenty of other things to see and do that kept us out of rain showers. The Wild Atlantic Way drive is amazing. Glenvaegh castle is well worth a visit and if it's dry that area would be great for walking. Evening in Dunfanaghy listening to traditional music in the pub was great too. We stayed two nights on a very hot 1st weekend in July. Dunfanaghy was busy with visitors at start of the holiday season and in the run up to The Open golf across the border, so the hotel was full and demand for food and drink was high.
