Barmeath Castle Guest House is unique and comfortable. The house is stunning and original, the facilities are great, the location is beautiful, and the hosts are friendly and very accommodating. My only regret is that I didn't make time for a longer tour of the castle, which was fascinating.

The location was in a peaceful rural setting with restaurants and pubs nearby. The continental breakfast was substantial with fresh fruit salad, fruit, cereals, bread, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. Thankyou Mary for such a friendly and welcoming stay. It is a beautiful place and close to Drogheda and surrounding historic sites.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alma’s retreat. The owner was super friendly and welcoming! The kitchen had fresh milk, breakfast options and a lot of kitchen utensils. The bedrooms and showers were amazing and everything was really clean. We highly recommend you stay here and the next time we are able to come here we will definitely try to stay for a longer period.

The Mews house was fully equipped, super comfortable, large and spacious. Five friends staying together, plenty of room, just beautiful. We were attending a wedding in the castle next door, very handy path to get there

From the moment we drove through the archway entrance we were in awe. We were greeted by Michael who walked us through to the mustard drawing room for plunger coffee and tea cake. Michael was happy to answer all our questions on this simply beautiful 1740s home, exquisitely furnished over many years. We stayed in the large four poster bedroom, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was in a closet, so quirky. Breakfast was excellent and served in the beautiful dining room with all the finery you normally see only on display in cabinets. Michael provided us with crockery so that we could sit in the alcove in the beautifully maintained gardens and enjoy a takeaway meal. A midday checkout was very welcome. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely home with charming hosts.
