This area won’t be right for everyone.

This area won’t be right for everyone. My husband and I arrived after an extended trip to England and the Isle of Man. We were not in the mood for busy tourist areas. The Town of Aughrim is so sweet, and really gives you an idea of rural Irish life. There were enough things to see in the area for us, such as Avoca Woolen mills, Glendalagh Monestery, Russborough house, and Wicklow Town.

I had car trouble and my phone wasn't working properly they...

I had car trouble and my phone wasn't working properly they made calls for me and also brought us drinks and allowed us the use of the bathroom after we had checked out and were awaiting the tow truck. Excellent service!

Fine location, very friendly host . Fine Irish breakfast.

Fine location, very friendly host . Fine Irish breakfast. Just one point to mention for dinner you need to drive a few kilometres further , there is one restaurant (from hotel) in the neighbourhood but have not always free table due to reservation of hotel guests .

I want to go back.

I want to go back. A wonderful old house in the country, not far from Aughrim. Beautiful countryside, amazing views from the house. The house is immaculate and interesting. Svetlana and Jeff have loved this house and it shows. Everything is chic, unique and amazing. This is not a hotel it is a piece of history and is so comfortable. I am going back in the summer to lounge on the deck and watch the sunset over the wicklow mountains.

We went to BrookLodge and Macreddin for a wedding so didn’t explore much of the surrounding area, but from the drive in, it looked beautiful.. once at the hotel we found that to be as equally as beautiful

The property was not like the photos on Booking.com! Bedroom and bathroom very small The noise from guests showering in the room next door was like they were in our bathroom! Shower was dangerous, slops inside of it they you could slip on very easily. Tiny bathroom, no window and door couldn’t open fully because the sink was too close to it. No plug by the dresser to blow dry your hair Bed too small all hotel double beds should be 6 foot. Breakfast was fine, nice girl waited on us but not a breakfast to be remembered by us.

Our stay at knockview was amazing it was very cosy and comfortable, home away from home, beautiful house very peaceful and tranquil, our host Karen was lovely and her hospitality went above and beyond to meet our needs''she could not do enough for us, she made us feel very welcome, breakfast was delicious and the warmth from the kitchen she is absolutely great hostess, me and husband totally enjoyed staying here and truly recommend a stay at this beautiful place in Aughrim 🇮🇪 fáilte

Great location near the beautiful town of Aughrim. Martin was so friendly and hospitable. The view from our hut was beautiful. The electric heater was a welcome touch.
