The views alone were beautiful, then you step inside and the cottage was so lovely and absolutely spotless, there was a fantastic outside space to hang out, my kids and myself had a great time and want to go back for a longer stay and Sinead was so friendly and so helpful with directions and advice on where to eat and how to get to the shops. I couldn't recommend it more and will be returning.

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary,...

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.

Pretty little town with colorful houses.

Pretty little town with colorful houses. Beautiful countryside all around. Friendly people. Lots of small shops. Historically very interesting area with Celtic graves, stone crosses, and monoliths. Unfortunately, almost no public transportation and only one taxi in the area.

June was a wonderful host, the house was so warm and inviting when we arrived. Everything you could possibly need was there. We were a party of 7 for a family birthday and everyone loved the beautiful quiet location that was just a short drive to local amenities. Beds were hard to get out of they were so comfy. June really provides a beautiful home to stay in. I would highly recommend this gem in Kells.

The house is finished to perfection! The hosts were more than accommodating allowing us to check in early to get ready for a wedding we were going to and even gave us a lift. Excellent breakfast made with lots of choices. Really comfy large bed. Very nice shower. Right in the middle of Kells. Would stay again for sure.

Great, hard working couple. Generous and thoughtful. Nice location within easy reach of Kells. Transport no problem. Lots of friendly animals on the farm, great produce and knowledge of herbs. Good phone signal. Well water to drink. Quiet and comfortable with turf fires and lots of country atmosphere. A great spot.
