This was a fabulous stay. The accommodation has been meticulously thought out with no attention to detail spared. Super clean, organised and well furnished and equipped. The heated towel rail was a super idea and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. I had a relaxing stay.

This hotel is a little outside the city but I was in the city in 15 mins this morning. ALL the staff are so friendly and obliging. The cleaner even left a handwritten welcome note .

We had such a lovely stay at Oranhill Lodge in Oranmore. From the moment we arrived, Ann and Michael made us feel completely at home — warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind hosts. The atmosphere of the lodge is cozy and inviting, the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything we needed and more — we especially enjoyed having the tea and kettle in the room for a quiet cup in the evening. The whole place was impeccably clean and peaceful, and we really appreciated how calm and quiet the nights were. Breakfast was a real highlight — freshly prepared and served by Ann and Michael themselves. Everything was delicious, and it felt like sitting down to a meal at home. On top of that, Ann gave us so many wonderful recommendations for places to visit around Ireland, plus extra tips for our itinerary that really made a difference to our trip. The location is also perfect: close to Galway but far enough to enjoy the tranquility of Oranmore, making it an ideal base for exploring the west of Ireland. The value for what you get — the comfort, the warmth, the quality — is just excellent. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Oranhill Lodge is a true gem, and we’ll remember our stay there with a lot of fondness. We’d recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting the area.

Margaret was extremely friendly and helpful and was an excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble. Cereals, yoghurts and fruit was provided for breakfast, even though we were not expecting it. Kitchen facilities were very good, with the option of cooking, if required. The property and room were beautifully presented and comfortable. Alfie, the dog, was the icing on the cake! Thank you!

This is a great location to go in any direction.

This is a great location to go in any direction. Galway is only 9 miles away, visiting The Burren and The Cliffs of Moher was also only an hour or less away. We visited Kylemore Abbey in the Connemara region one day and then traveled south to Grange Stone Circle and Blarney Castle another. We stopped in smaller villages on days we did not want to drive so much. The Wild Atlantic Way region has so much to see, we saw a little bit of it all.

We enjoyed the Kilcolgan/Clarinbridge area very much as it is a short distance by car from Galway, with easy access to major tourist attractions in western Ireland, all the while being an upscale, Irish countryside suburb of Galway. If you are looking for a relaxing place that has easy access to everything, but is away from the hustle a bustle, this is the place for you.
