Good local breakfast, the restaurant has a good menu and some of the plates i took are well cooked.Very beautiful environment. Staff is very friendly and professional. In general after a 3 night stay I leave with very good impressions. Congratulations to the staff.

A stunningly beautifully furnished house, with superb guest rooms, a luxurious salon and library, bathing and swimming facilities, set in a lush garden. I have never seen such a beautiful guesthouse. The host was exceedingly helpful. The stay is unforgettable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Palmgrove and really wished we had stayed there for more nights. The room was spacious and clean, the bed really comfy and the bathroom really good. The hosts were incredible and they even fixed our travel itinerary for us! Had we not visited the places they suggested, we would have missed out on many beautiful scenery.

    We went primarily to tour the area including Ballybunion. Also for the Lartigue Monorail and museum in Listowel. A gem, and an important piece of transport heritage that is still relatively unknown in the UK. Great visit. The town is lively with good music in the pubs (especially Christy's). Lovely place!

    We have visited Listowel on many occasions before and find...

    We have visited Listowel on many occasions before and find it a pleasant market town with some nice shops and friendly locals. This holiday we spent more time in Ballybunnion and Tralee. Ballybunnion has a great beach and also a leisure centre with swimming pool which is easily accessible. Tralee is a big town with a great leisure centre like an indoor Aquapark and Kerry Museum and Siamsa Tire - National Folk Theatre for Ireland, that hosts cultural events and traditional Irish Dancing. Listowel is 10 minute drive, Ballybunnion is 15 minutes drive from Baker's Cross and Tralee is a half hour drive.

    Listowel is a lovely town with great outdoor recreational...

    Listowel is a lovely town with great outdoor recreational facilities and a strong history of celebrating literature and writers. It is a good base from high to explore northwest Kerry, from the Dingle Peninsula to Ballybunion and Foynes, where transatlantic flying boats used to land. For those unused to Irish roads and streets there are the challenges of driving on the left hand side and some tight turns and through ways, but that’s no different than driving anywhere in Ireland. I like the fact that it is not a town that gets inundated with tourists. The food at the Listowel Arms was excellent, as is the Horseshoe Bar. Woulfe’ s bookshop is worth a browse and the risk of leaving with several purchases. The greenway is a fabulous community resource.

    Beautiful town that has retained its character.

    Beautiful town that has retained its character. Friendly people great food & nightlife. Short stay so didn't get to explore hinterland. Lovely event in Arts centre, enjoyed Food fare, meal at Allo's, music at Mike the Pies and great Guinness and atmosphere in John B Keanes.

    Listowel has lots to do and see.

    Listowel has lots to do and see. We should have added another day to our two day stay. We met only lovely friendly welcoming locals, not one grumpy one among them. Tuesday night in JBKeanes pub theatre night was good fun. Get there early for seats.

    Perfect house for a family break to Kerry. Perfect location in Listowel for road trips around the spectacular sights of Kerry. Applegreen garage within easy walking distance & local shops also. Listowel also has a beautiful greenway which is perfect for walking, jogging & cycling. Ballybunion beach is the closest, beautiful beach ! Michael has thought of everything in the house which is spacious, clean & comfortable. Highly recommend this property for anybody planning a trip to The Kingdom!

    We parked in Rathkeale and cycled the Greenway to this B&B in Listowel. The host was very accommodating when our arrival time changed. There was a locked shed to store our bikes which was handy. The room and house in general was spotless, the water warm, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious and generous. We highly recommend it. Perfect location for Greenway and it's just a short stroll into town for lovely restaurants and pubs.

    Always enjoy staying in Listowel Arms, staff have always been superbly accommodating and friendly . The breakfast choice still remains limited and of reasonable quality. The room and bed were of 5 * quality , but the options of shampoo, body wash and hand washing needs to be such as to accommodate even those with sensitive skin, even by just providing an alternative. Finally, bigger towels for post showering.

    The location in Listowel is perfect, near to lovely pubs and restaurants. We managed to park for free just outside on the weekend but there is free parking a short distance away. Lizzy was great and made us feel incredibly welcome, she told us everything we needed to know to make our stay a lovely one.
