I usually don't like B&Bs but after staying at Bertra, my girlfriend and I are already planning another trip here. Margaret is the best hostess I've ever experienced, we instantly felt at home and our stay was completely perfect. While the weather was less than ideal, the proximity to the beach meant we could still enjoy a nice (albeit windy!) walk. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The house is terrific! Well organized, comfortable beds, great shower - all the amenities needed to stay comfortably and even cook. Super warm at night (def a plus) and with breath talking views! Breda was super easy to contact and very welcoming! Fresh flowers in alm rooms, milk, chocolate and cupcakes for us at arrival. I can't compliment this stay well enough! Hoping I can arrange to be back in a few months!

Beautiful and well kept estate in a natural and rugged setting. The front of house staff (Maura, Mary & Geraldine) were exceptional, making you feel completely at home yet spoiled red rotten. Bed was comfortable and room was spotless and spacious with old manor luxury. Food was phenomenal, the chefs created delicious, high quality, beautifully presented food for the set menu each evening and the breakfast was 5 star too. The drawing room allowed a quiet place to relax and read during the day and the beginning of social fun with all other guests in the evening. The communal table for dining made for entertainment, everyone chatting and sharing stories, loved it. We were there for my husband’s 40th birthday and staff frequently went above and beyond over the weekend to mark it in fun and thoughtful ways. Thanks for having us and providing a Céad Míle Fáilte!
