Just superb in every way. Sinners in tbe “greenhouse” were exquisite. This is my favorite place to stay in all of Ireland. Ray, the manager, holds up the tradition that the late, great Kaye maintains ed for decades. The Cashel House is a national treasure. See above.

Welcoming apartment, very well-equipped, in a beautiful village right by the water. This was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Perfect place for a short- or long-term stay. We were here for ten days and explored the region and absolutely loved it.

Everything! The house was lovely and cosy, Roundstone is a beautiful little village and the owner, Mary, is an absolute gem of a woman! We forgot some medication that we had brought for our stay and she instantly called me once she found it and insisted that she mail us to it. If/when you visit you'll see that Roundstone has some award winning bars and seafood, so of course it receives a big recommendation from us. Two establishments to name in particular are The Shamrock Bar and O'Dowds pub, where the staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your food and drinks. The house itself has brilliant insulation from what we could tell (early May, and we got very lucky with the weather) but we didn't even need a fire in the evening, despite the well stocked turf shed and provided fire lighters. The rooms were a great size and even with a 20kg suitcase we had plenty of space. The beds were lovely and firm (for anyone that's conscious of their back 😉) and we collectively slept like logs! The back garden is stunning and they even have a picnic bench to enjoy the lovely weather, and maybe enjoy a disposable bbq if you fancy. All in all, an amazing place to stay, and a lovely village to holiday in. 11/10

I like the location and the facilities. The location of the house is beautiful, not far from Rounstone. If you want to recharge your batteries, this is the place to go. Great place to get away from it all.

I solo travelled here at the end of the season. Staff are super friendly, facilities, impeccably clean, the kitchen is very big and perfectly equipped, beds are confortable, a log fire is lit in the evening and guests and staff gather around to tell stories. You can really tell this place is run with tender loving care! Thank you!

Beautiful manor by the lake. Location couldn’t be better. I love the surroundings, the morning walk along the lake and in the woods was so pleasant. Dinner was excellent. I would come back to stay here for longer days.

It is a beautiful village on what feels like the edge of the world, surrounded by beautiful beaches, wonderful nature colours in a perfect setting. Perfect for group, family or solo trips. Great variety of pubs and eating choices in Roundstone village itself. I will be back for another visit and I will recommend to my friends too. Its a long drive over from Dublin but 100% worth it

I am biased because my mother came from there, but I can't...

I am biased because my mother came from there, but I can't imagine a more beautiful place. We ate at the very friendly Shamrock Bar and also at O'Dowds seafood restaurant and O'Dowd's cafe. It is a great small village, founded by Alexander Nimmo in the nineteenth century, so full of colourful terraced Victorian houses and easy to talk round . It has spectacular views of the mountains and sea.

Roundstone has maintained its laid back appeal over the 50+ years I have been going there. it never fails. The various bars and eating places are all of a very high standard. the local beaches are probably the finest in the world and the surrounding countryside is stunning.

Roundstone is a small, pretty place so with not much to offer for longer stays. The location of the hotel a short distance from Roundstone was ideal for guaranteed peace and quiet. We found our three night stay was just enough to cover the area, including Clifden, the Sky Road, Kylemore Abbey & Gardens, Kilary Fjiord/Cruise. Because of Covid restrictions we opted to eat in the Hotel each evening. The food was excellent.

Excellent accommodation.

Excellent accommodation. Tastefully furnished rooms with sea views. Spacious enough for two people. Very friendly and always helpful staff. A nice pub with good food is attached. Highly recommended.

In English, I'd say what a lovely place! If you're traveling in Connemara, this is the place to stay! This port is so charming. The pubs are welcoming, and the food is every bit as good as our favorite Parisian brasseries. We loved it.

Stunning views and a fabulous location. Eldons is a fabulous bed and breakfast in the heart of Roundstone close to some lovely pubs and restaurants as well a close of some of the most beautiful beaches . The room was spotless and so comfortable. The staff were excellent staff, making us feel right at home , breakfast was fantastic. Thank you Eldons.

A beautiful old mansion set in large gardens and within walking distance to Roundstone. Richard is a superb host and ensures your every need is met. Parking is on site and the whole setting has tremendous ambience. Breakfast is excellent with lots of local elements directly from the garden or oven. The pricing is superb with the breakfast only £6 a head.

This tiny little cottage is located inan absolutely fantastic and really secluded area (you are really for yourself) at the tip of Inishnee (but still just max. 15min by car from Roundstone). You have a great panorama across the bay, and also see parts of Connemara from the window.

The hotel has a very warm, welcoming feel. The staff have big smiles. It is a quiet place to unwind in a fairly remote spot. Nice big rooms and beds, a lounge, a library, and other rooms to relax in. The food was excellent, too.
