This place is a wonderful for countryside getaway. It is really peaceful with the three cutest donkeys and warmest hosts. We really felt welcomed there, Tom and Cahtleen are very active and helpful with all information provided. With their heartiness they are the best hosts ever! We are really grateful for staying there.

The host is the most hardworking man I've ever met, very polite, cares about his guests, always comes around to make sure his guests are good, always available, gives you all the information, help and support you need. Very focused, organised, hardworking with a smile on his face. You need anything? He's a call away. The hotel has everything to make you feel at home...away from home and that includes a surveillance camera to keep the property secure and make the guests feel safe. Our host was just exceptional. Tommy was the full time host and he was so attentive I was just amazed. Plus he's a fantastic cook! And all the help in navigating and finding fun and interesting places to visit was so helpful, better than any tour guide could have been. the rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for all of us. Very quiet country setting but lots to do near by, more than I thought.

We had such a nice stay at Glenvela Guest House and were a bit sad we only stayed for one night. Everything was exceptionally clean, our room and the whole house were lovely (every room has their private bathroom) and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. However, the best thing about our stay were Maureen, Ronald and their three dogs - we could not imagine better hosts, and the dogs welcomed us with much enthusiasm and we were happy to follow their request for extensive cuddling (I must add that the dogs are kept in a private area of the house and the hosts only let them out when the guests are comfortable).

Martina, our hostess, was very easygoing and went out of her way to answer all our questions and meet our requirements. The beds were clean and comfortable and, although we had a very early flight and were to miss breakfast, she left us out enough food to help ourselves to a good continental breakfast before leaving.
