Fantastic greeting by wonderful hosts. Beautiful clean room and shared seating and dining area. Great advice and guidance from the hosts, including organising transport to our next stay. Excellent food, including dinner on the first evening. Overall a great stay.

Staff was great! The bedroom I stayed at was great too, but bear in mind that I upgraded it at the hotel. The floor was a bit dirty when I checked in. I asked for it to be cleaned and it was immediately dealt with. There's a mini-fridge in the room. The pool was fantastic! Breakfast and food in general was good. They have a bar with limited selection but it's pretty good for a night drink. No frills.

The owners were exceptional. They could not have been more attentive hosts. The location is wonderful, fronting on to a backwater leading to the lake. Its a tranquil spot, perfect for bird and boat watching. Traditional Keralan Breakfast with a few additions like toast and omelette and coffees were delivered to the seating area in front of each room.

Staff all very friendly and welcoming, a shout out to Chanda at restaurant. Meals were very good and chef came to table speaking to customers. The infinity pool was delightful and gardens kept well. High tea on the lawn overlooking lake was very enjoyable. The toiletry lotions called Apothecary were very lovely.

The location was perfect, nestled amidst lush greenery with stunning views of Vembanad Lake. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with modern amenities.     Kumarakom is a beautiful village famous for its serene backwaters, lakes filled with lotus, small roads and above all, its warm and welcoming people. Found it easy to engage in delightful conversations, experiencing genuine local hospitality and culture firsthand. However, if you are unaccustomed to village life, a few precautions will enhance your experience. Always carry mosquito repellent, especially during evenings near the water bodies, Don't drink Toddy and Spicy foods

    Good : Great waterfront locations, lots of superb landscaped resorts with lots of birds and calm and quiet neighbourhood. Bad : Very few good restaurants in and around the area, and food served at most of the upscale star hotels and resorts is very poor in quality and expensive, especially the dinner. Note : Avoid during peak summer (March & April) as it is very hot and humid.

    The backwaters of Kumarakom are exquisite, quiet, and peaceful. Lovely friendly people. It's a small place, so 2 or 3 days is more than enough. I battled to find an ATM that (a) worked and (b) would let me withdraw money on an international card. You need cash in Kumarakom.

    The local people were very kind and helpful , directing us to the different places of interest. They never tried to cheat us or overcharge. Even on walks thru small village lanes people were nice and never looked at us with suspicion.Overall a nice place with friendly people.

    My wife Leigh and I had a wonderful few days at Mango Kerala Homestay during our honeymoon. Divya, Dilip and their lovely daughters were superb hosts, welcoming, friendly and helpful - a true Homestay experience. The food was so tasty, South Indian, varied and delicious. We did have a meal at the Taj hotel nearby but the food wasn't as good! Our room (with a balcony overlooking the backwaters) and the entire home was clean and such a lovely place to spend time. The family also have a luxury houseboat where we hope to stay next time!

    The pool was really nice and the way it was located right by the lake looks so beautiful when the sun sets. Food was really good although the variety of the breakfast buffet could have been better. The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful.
