If you have a calling to visit puri Jagannath temple, you must visit this place. The temple aura is amazing. It is one of the most sacred places for Hindus and the Jagannath temple & Konark temples are nice architectural marvels too. This city has a long and cherished history. If possible, avoid summer heat and important festival days - if you just need temple darshan. Shopping and sightseeing is tough during summer heat.

Puri is totally a changed city now, much more cleaner and much more organised. We had very good darshan of Lord Jagannath. The temple premises are very attractive and tourist friendly. Puri is well connected by train and road. Our journey to Puri by road was very much enjoyable, it just took one and half hour from Cuttack. We had a grand stay at Fortune, beach side hotel and enjoyed the delicacies in the hotel.

the main reason we took this vacation was to see Jagannath Temple. That part was fulfilled. Any other sight seeing is quite far, and the auto rikshaw guys over charge excessively. The hotel is on the quieter side of the beach, and just a short ride to the left is much enjoyable. The beach itself comes to life from around 5pm till late. Lots and lots of food is cooked on the beach, to give one a feeling of enjoyment. BUT 4 nights and 5 days was over do. NO decent restaurants anywhere near.

Any one if you are exploring chilka lake near by puri then...

Any one if you are exploring chilka lake near by puri then don't trust cab drivers. For 10 or more people in one boat for 3 to 4 hours of boating journey in chilka lake its only 1800 to 2500. Don't pay any extra amoutn. Apart from that visitng puri / konark / biraja devi temple and everything is good.

Puri Muncipal corporation has to maintain roads in proper roads towards Temple all around. I tried different different roads for Temple but all are same. If government make a road properly defiantly tourism would be increasing fast.

I recently stayed at SKS Hotel in Puri, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel is well-located, just a short distance from the beach and close to the Jagannath Temple, making it perfect for both relaxation and sightseeing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was spotless. Housekeeping did a great job every day.

First of all it's near the Railway station approx 650-700 m I guess , the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff here are well mannered,polite and humble. The blue flag beach is nearby and the Jagannath temple is at a 5-10 min distance by auto. Will recommend everyone to check this hotel out 👍🏼 . Thank you Sambeet bhai for your cooperation and providing us a good stay. I will definitely stay at your hotel everytime I visit Puri. Jaya Jagannath 🙏🏻

Decide why are you visiting puri? If you want to visit temples first go for this hotel. Most of the temples are nearby but if your first preference is beach then look other hotels. The hotel staff is good. Location is good. Hygienic place. Rooms are spacious. + tip : For the places to visit in BBSR, donot travel from puri to there, bcoz transportation cost is heavy rather cover puri and then leave to choose hotel in BBSR
