I really enjoyed my stay at Mundro Mocktail Homestay. The island is beautiful and laidback and the homestay was quiet, clean and comfortable. The homestay is located above the family house; it has two rooms and a big living room, as also a small balcony. All the upper area is made in wood. Good wi-fi It’s possible to rent a bicycle which it’s a great way to explore the island. Did the boat trip at sunrise with Vinod and it was amazing. We start in the river, then the lake and did the way back by the small canals. I was the only person in the boat and had a very fair price for the 2h trip. Vinod is a great host, friendly and generous. Nice family environment and tasty local food both for breakfast and dinner… yummy fruit salads!!

We had time crunch so we stayed only 1 day but we wish we could stay longer in this beautiful homestay.. the canal side nature beauty and the amenities in the homestay are top notch. Within 2 km of Munrothuruttu railway station this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!! Pros:- Spotless accommodation with latest amenities In House boating arrangements Very well behaved In house cooked food is very tasty Worth every penny. Affordable rates

Would recommend this Homestay and munroe island to everyone visiting Kerala! Vijeesh made our time super fun even though we only stayed one night. Do not miss the sunset kayak trip and the sunrise boat trip, such a highlight of our Kerala trip. Munroe island is beautiful.

The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely terrace area, table and seating. The large bed was the most comfortable we have had in India. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Our sunrise canoe ride was magical, the highlight of our stay.

Kailasam Homestay is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience. The highlight of my stay was the amazing traditional breakfast—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. And the tea? Easily the best I’ve had in India! Devika and her family are very warm and kind. They made us feel at home. The homestay is peaceful and very clean with a wonderful garden, and Devika cooks the most delicious meals. We did the sunrise boat trip with Devika's father in law, which was beautiful. Thanks for everything!

This is a great place to stay, it's relaxing, the hosts are awesome and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. Provided breakfast and dinner, lunch as well if you wanted. There was a bike you could hire for a little trek round the island, and it's a good way to get around the place. I've stayed in a lot of places in India over the last 3 months, and this was one of the best.

I loved everything about this place. It is peaceful and beautiful, accurate and clean. The owner and the family are so friendly and helpful and willing to help out with everything. The home cooked meals were great and so much fun to eat by the river.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The incredible homecooked food, the quiet calm of the surrounding nature, the sunrise canoe rides and the kindness of Uni and his family made this one of my favorite stays after a month of traveling India. I highly recommend staying here!
