Pretty new, extremely clean and lots of space in the room. Comfortable beds. Private bathroom. Good breakfast, actually it was a glad surprise compared to previous reviews. Location was also good close to Diamond Beach. Totally almost hotel level.

The facilities are excellent for this type of property It was a VERY good value for money deal for me. But I precise “for me” as I’ve booked it at the moment the price was really low:)

Hostel located in absolutelly lovely place. Very quiet and peacefull place. Kitchen has all necesserity to cook a diner. On every floor is toailet.

Largest bathroom out of 7 accommodations we booked in Iceland! We were so impressed by the home decor and how Cosy it was. A nice touch of icelandic tradition everywhere you look. Breakfast was basic but just enough. Staff was very accommodating. Location was perfect for us to drive to jokulsarlon during the night to go watch the aurora. I really recommend this place. Parking just outside (for free) even the towels were embroider with their emblem (I’m a sucker for the little details) the common area is so beautiful too!

Really amazing location and the rooms are great! (we had a cottage) lots of hikes around - we decided to do an off the course hike to a waterfall close by. The hosts were very understanding especially as we travelled with kids - even kept the breakfast open late for us. The breakfast was great as well, given most places offered the bare minimum

Exellent pearl in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Lovely young man welcomed us. Local museum Pórbergur Centre, don't miss it. Fantastic dinner - lamb- and breakfast with homemade bread and lamb charcuterie. We can only recomend this wonderful place.

Old Cottages has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Höfn, 12 km from Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. The chalet has private entrance.
