Very quite and cosy lodge. Nicely located for some peaceful days with a waterfall in the backyard. The waiter Artur was the best and most friendly and professional I met on whole Iceland. Food was good and room sizeable (family room) unfortunately only with roof window.

This was the most beautiful hotel we had on our 3 week trip to Iceland! It‘s freshly renovated, very high ceiling and the appliances are of decent quality (not only Ikea and if Ikea, then the better quality stuff). Stykkisholmur is a very scenic little town, absolutely worth a visit.

immaculately clean. you could sleep on the floor. we like the ‘dry bathroom’ concept. this ensures tidiness and self-discipline to remain clean.

We had a wonderful time staying at Drangar.

We had a wonderful time staying at Drangar. It is rare to look forward to coming back to your room after a day of exploring while on vacation, especially Iceland - but that's exactly how we felt. It is so apparent what pride this family takes in their guesthouse, down to every last detail, to say nothing of the natural beauty and peace of the property. If you are planning to explore Snaefellsnes peninsula, staying at Drangar is an easy choice.

The listing set a high bar, but everything about my stay exceeded even those expectations. The buildings and location were more beautiful than I imagined, and the proprietors were extraordinarily kind and welcoming. I was sad to leave and I am eager to return. I give Drangar my highest recommendation for people who appreciate architecture and design, as well as people who are looking for friendly, personal service. It has the rare combination of style and substance.

A truly remote place, the kind we all dream of one day, a place to forget everything except feeling good. A warm and passionate welcome. Everything in the accommodation (for us: the stable) was carefully thought out and successfully organized…even the walk along the ocean…bravo!
