Beautiful hotel that feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, with lovely rooms and a cosy restaurant area. The hot tubs overlooking the lake are great. The food was very good both at dinner and breakfast (we loved the happy marriage cake - the best we had in Iceland - and the homemade blueberry jam!)

Very clean rooms, everything brand new renovated , brand new quality beds, pillows and duvets, towels. All the facility were clean, the shared bathrooms had amazing views and good showers. Always enough papers, trash always emptied. Kitchen had everything you need very spacious and clean. We met the hotel manager Lilja she was amazing , she told us history about the place , very easy to reach staff on site. Lilja was more then welcome and educated about the place and herself well traveled around the world. She showed us the old historic elements of the houses. The stay there was so peaceful and homie. This will be a place we will come to again without a question. We had the most amazing time there and there is nothing negative to say about our stay. Amazing environment there and energy was unmatched. What the owners and facility is doing with the place is amazing and inspiration to mix the new with old. Our room was very nice. Comfy bed so we had a great sleep. We saw the northern lights over the hotel from the car park. Check in was very quick and easy. The breakfast was very good, plenty of options. It's continental but a good one. The shower has great pressure i liked the tiles on the walls. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It has everything you want for your ring road journey. Value, comfy beds, views, location, great breakfast and friendly staff.
