We stayed in the apartment and it was lovely and well-appointed. The little patio area in front was so nice since we were blessed with a beautiful day. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching and listening to the birds in the meadow right outside was delightful. We had been in Bakkagerdi earlier in the evening to view the puffins (1 million stars/10 on that experience) and this was the perfect place to spend the night, since it was less than an hour from there but also gave us a little bit of a head start on our clockwise ring road journey for the next day's travels.

Very clean rooms, everything brand new renovated , brand new quality beds, pillows and duvets, towels. All the facility were clean, the shared bathrooms had amazing views and good showers. Always enough papers, trash always emptied. Kitchen had everything you need very spacious and clean. We met the hotel manager Lilja she was amazing , she told us history about the place , very easy to reach staff on site. Lilja was more then welcome and educated about the place and herself well traveled around the world. She showed us the old historic elements of the houses. The stay there was so peaceful and homie. This will be a place we will come to again without a question. We had the most amazing time there and there is nothing negative to say about our stay. Amazing environment there and energy was unmatched. What the owners and facility is doing with the place is amazing and inspiration to mix the new with old. Everything was clean, comfortable and enough space (even if one sleeping room was quite small, there was enough space to leave our luggage in the huge living room). The terrace with the hotpot was so great after a long day and on top polar lights in the night. The kittchen is really big and well equipped. The beds were comfortable. It has one shower and two separate toiletes, which was pleasant for a group of 6 people.

The cottage is so adorable!! We were there in small group of 3 people and it was really good we had space and the cottage is not small :)! We appreciate terase, grill, river and the space - we really felt amazing around nature, river and siting on terase it have so good feeling we are sad we didnt stay some days more but definitly i save this cottage for next time :)! Nice house with a beautiful view of the river. Two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom. The minimum necessary set of dishes, clean bedding. There is an air conditioner and batteries. special thanks to the owners for turning on the heating before our arrival and explained in great detail how to get to the place.

The room was a bit cold in the evening, but got warm over night. One window leaked a bit of air, dropping cool air down on the bed, so I stuffed a pillow up in the window, for more isolation. In the morning I felt i needed more AIR, so I just removed the pillow. =D There were extra blankets, to keep me warm. The shower was good, warm water came fast. The place had a fridge, which is always a plus, and especially here, as you have to make your own breakfast.

Clean, light, spacious. There was everything you needed in the kitchen and even complementary coffee (and coffee filters) and collection of tea. Many bathrooms and showers, with the shampoo/toiletries. Well soundproofed, we didn’t hear neighbors, comfy beds. Lovely place indeed to land in in-between north and east Iceland.
