Hotels near Grímsstaðir á Fjöllum

The houses are located in the middle of nowhere in the best way possible. We had a cottage that was part of the long row of cottages. The view was amazing, towards the river, with geese and baby geese visiting us from the river. The room was surprisingly big, it looked really good, the bed was extremely confortable. The bathroom was very nice as well and it even had a bottle of lotion. The highlight was the heated floors which made the stay extremely pleasant. The kitchen in the common area was in a different building, so there was no noise from it. The kitchen was very well equipped, it had everything you might need. Overall, the attention to details in such a remote place was highly appreciated.

Large, bright room with patio. Traveling with a friend, so appreciated having the two beds separate. It was great to have a meal available (at extra cost) since the location is remote.
