United KingdomFantastic location, it felt remote but not isolated (we still managed to get some food delivered in the middle of some quite bad weather!). The views were spectacular and the property itself had such a comforting but modern and polished feel to it I couldn't have asked for more. Getting there was an easy drive from Keflavik airport - thankfully as we arrived in a red weather for winds and rain warning time so I was very glad for a short drive and such a good place to stay to see the storm pass over while we still got to experience seeing and feeling some of the wilds that Iceland offers! Inside everything was perfect and there were basics there so we would not have been stuck if the weather had stopped us going out for a while. Really a great property, so unique, it was one of the more expensive places we stayed at during our 11 days but we thought it was absolutely worth it for the experience. Can't recommend this place enough.

ItalyWe was there for our last night in Iceland and it was very comfortable stay near to the aiport for the flight the morning after. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so kind! Also the breakfast was very good and the room was perfect.
Sure I will come back again for my next Iceland trip!

Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon. We stayed here on our first night in Iceland going straight from the airport to the Blue lagoon then checked in.
Not a lot here but there’s a pretty church here
Tip: don’t buy supplies in the airport shop - we stocked up & it cost us a fortune. There’s a Netto in Grindavík

Grindavik is a small, beautiful fishing village close to the Geldingadalur volcano (but not too close) and the Blue Lagoon. It has many excellent hiking opportunities and great restaurants. Grindavik is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Whale-watching, fishing, mountaineering, very friendly people, safe environment, you name it, Grindavik has it all!

Great location for Meradalir.
Great location for Meradalir. Fabulous fish and chips at Papas - Grindavik is a fishing town, so all fish is fresh that morning. Lovely walking around the town. Very peaceful. Great for exploring south coast and peninsula. Only 25 mins from Keflavik.

We stopped for one night during our Iceland tour to visit the Blue Lagoon and Fagradalsfjall, the volcano that erupted in 2021 and is still smoldering several months later. Grindavik is a working fishing village with a few local restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy, so is a really good spot to stay for a day when touring Iceland. It is not touristy though so don’t expect lots of shops selling the usual.

This is a dock terminal terrible views, bad aspect for tourists, cabin super smaill no microwave, no waste basket in bathroom, nothing to sweep with, place is creepy, huge caping yard nezt to the property that makes it seem dangerous. Lonely area! For this price you can get a top notch place.

Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history. It's super close to the Blue lagoon and volcano so, there are many options for hiking or relaxing. There's a grill place with a super nice man who told me a little about the history and life of Grindavik's people and he also sells awesome hotdogs. Wish I could've stayed longer but a huge storm came so I had to run away :)

Hello! We absolutely loved your guesthouse - it felt like home. Completing the entire Ring Road and staying in 9 other hotels, yours stands out as the best by far! The owners were delightful, and the fresh, delicious food made our time here truly enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay and much-needed rest. We'd love to return and, next time, take advantage of the spa offered by the owners' friends. Looking forward to another visit! 🇮🇸❤️❄️

Really enjoyed staying here, inside is spacious, warm calm, central to grindavik, good kitchen. I was quite ill and recuperating in the bedroom was really pleasant. Grindavik is definitely interesting to visit with the lava but would be interesting without also (we visited previously in 2020) and you will be helping its recovery.

Grindavik is a bit of a ghost town as a result of the volcanic activity but this was a novel place stay during a quiet phase between eruption events.
The hotel itself is nicely set up with a generous breakfast

Great location for the northern lights, hotel is clean, staff were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Even let us borrow a tripod from a staff member when the lights were out.
