The room was simple but comfortable. There is no kettle in the room but there is complimentary tea and coffee near the reception. The location is right across the Geysir so you can go at the end of the day when it's less crowded. The best of all was the dinner and the breakfast. We stayed 12 days in Iceland and it was by far the best we've had. The breakfast has a huge choice of food, including a very special Geysir bread that you can't find anywhere else. The dinner was excellent and the prices were correct for Iceland.

Warm, cozy, and comfortable. It had a kitchen that was well equipped, free tea and coffee, and a nice dining area to sit and have a meal. Everything was clean. Shampoo and soap provided in the showers, towel provided as well. It was quiet so I got a good night's sleep. Located on the Golden Circle route, very close to the geysir and Gullfoss waterfall.

Blue Hotel Fagrilundur was excellent. You can't beat the location if you are traveling through the Golden Circle. The communication and cleanliness were great. Being able to use the hot tubs after a long day of exploring was such a welcomed finish to our day, specially with robes provided. The biggest highlight for us at this property was the costumer service from the restaurant. We had to check out before breakfast started and the gentleman in charge was so helpful and packaged us food to go.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is its location, which is very close to several must-see spots in this area of Iceland. I was also very lucky because, being in a rural area, I could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Another strength of the hostel is its staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.

It is the perfect place to see the northern lights I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this purpose and the yurts are lovely, warm and cosy. Beata is the best person they have on their staff and their neighbours which also have a beautiful hotel with horse riding are so lovely and supportive.
