Very kind staff! The house that we had was very cute and confortable. The house had internal bathroom and toilet and they were very nice and clean too. The dinners in the restaurant were VERY delicios! The view from the porch of the house was fantastic!

During our trip in Iceland, we stayed in many cottages and this was one of the good ones! The air in the room was fresh and the shared kitchen and bathroom worked great. Everything was also clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was also very helpful and gave us good tips for our next destination.

In fact, I would have loved nothing more than to extend my stay indefinitely! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcome. But the real highlight of my stay was the breakfast shared with the host. It was not just a meal; it was an incredible experience that was both delicious and entertaining. Saudafell Guesthouse is situated on a beautiful farm, and being there felt like a true escape. The picturesque surroundings, complete with grazing sheep and the company of lovely border collies, were simply amazing. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic, rural way of life. excellent stay in this lodge! Nice room with a comfy bed, shared living room and kitchen with everything you need. Super calm and quiet so we had a really good rest.

The stay absolutely exceeded our expectations. We booked a cabin for a one-night stay after our long road trip from the northern region. The staff was exceptionally friendly; she even introduced us to the charming small town and the information about the stores and restaurants that are still open for business during winter. If you prefer cooking, there is a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely greenhouse available for shared use. Some comments mentioned that the room was too small. While it is true, it was more than enough for just sleeping. The beds (and the pillows) were the most comfortable ones we had during our 16-day trip in Iceland. We would absolutely recommend this place to others who are planning to visit the Westfjords and are looking for a convenient stop on the way to the west side. Oh - and the kind staff even remind us to go out to catch the stunning northern light! :D

Even though we stayed for a day was exceptional, the staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious, our place where we stayed had everything and more . Definitely we will return!!!

Our room was spacious, with table with 2 chairs and comfortable king size bed. Breakfast had a variety of food, we also had dinner there, buffet style, the lamb stew and cooked lamb was very delicious.

Our stay was wonderful! Iceland’s weather may be unpredictable, but its beauty more than makes up for it. Coming back at the end of the day to this beautiful house with stunning surroundings made our trip even more special. It felt warm and welcoming, like coming home. Our family (four siblings with our spouses) absolutely loved it—a true home away from home.

A beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!
