I only spent one night at Birkifell and in all honesty it was not enough. Birkifell is 100% pure charm and comfort. The cabin is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was pretty much perfect. Coffee machine with coffee, stovetop, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cookware. The beds are so comfortable and warm. I slept amazingly well. And now what is truly wow. Hot tub on the verandah with clear, unobstructed views of the sky which was crystal clear. The hot tub was hot, comfortable and clean. The only sound to be heard was me. I have never experienced such quiet and stillness before. It was invigorating. I was sad to have to leave Birkifell but when I come back to Iceland, Birkifell will be my must stay again. I love everything about Birkifell.

The rooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The view was really spectacular and we took a few pics from our room. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Iceland.

Everything! , right from the location, rooms , facility & very cooperative Host!! Loved the entire stay, wish we would stayed longer but we had to carry on with our trip! So couldn't. Highly recommend the stay here . It was a wonderful experience .

We loved this guesthouse! The spa- brilliant!! The host had it already ready for us and post dinner we all went in! We attempted to fit 4 people in but honestly it was only most comfortable with two so we rotated. We used the oven- brillant. The shower was good too and the bed was comfy!

The place is super quiet and close to a mountain, very relaxing. It was also easy and quick to do the checking. Just as a tip please bring some food before doing the checking, as you will need it there.

The couple working there were fantastic. Very welcoming and thoughtful. We had a problem with our car and they fetch us and helped us in everything we needed it. Fantastic! Besides, the huts are very comfortable.

This is the BEST hotel we stayed at during our 10 day road trip. The customer service is exceptional. We arrived after midnight and there was a sign stuck on the door for us to call to have the door opened for us. The gentleman who greeted us at this late hour was truly exceptional . He assisted us in every way he could to try to help us settle in easily and comfortably. The breakfast is of the highest standard. lots of delicious options to choose from. The rooms were spotless and the bed was comfy. After checking out we returned to the hotel for a quick stop as it was along our route and the young lady at the front desk was amazing yet again, getting us hot water for our coffee cups and allowing us the use of the restrooms. This is truly a beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities. Wish i had checked in to this hotel earlier to be able to enjoy the clean facilities a bit more.
