The location was amazing, you could see right across to the glaciers from the cabin window. Stefan was very friendly when we met him and let us know we had a chance of seeing the northern lights! We saw them and the view from the cabin was beautiful. The bed was really comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The water was really warm for the shower and the cabin was kept toasty warm too!

Good road to the hostel. There is no kitchen but there is a coffee corner where you can make coffee or tea, brew something with boiling water, for this there are dishes and cutlery, a kettle. I loved the hospitality and hygiene at Arnanes. Everything looked so clean and nice. And also the way the hotel is situated in nature is amazing. A great view upon the mountains, that's even more beautiful with sunrise and sunset! The owners were very friendly and always in for a chat, and even some sightseeing and aurora advice. Bonus for Dutch travelers: the owner also speaks a good amount of Dutch! I'm definitely coming back to this hotel if I visit Iceland again. Really enjoyed my stay there.

We got a corner room from where the view was amazing to the mountains. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the staff was super kind. The breakfast was really like in a bigger hotel, so many options, fruits, pastries, cereal, everything you fancy before a long day of travelling/hiking.
