This place is an hidden gem. The attention of the host in every detail is something special. The room and the bathroom are really comfortable and the view from the windows is something unique. The breakfast with local food and skyr prepared by the owner’s mum is delicious. The host is really kind and sweet. You can have a cup of tea or coffee in the wonderful common area while enjoying the amazing view of the surrounding area. Hope to come back maybe in winter !

I stayed for one night with my family and had a great time. The room was nice and warm, and the owner was very kind. We even had breakfast that he prepared for his guests. Overall, it was a great stay and definitely coming back the next time in Iceland.

The family-owned Stafafell Cottages is located on a sheep farm in the countryside, 30 km from Höfn village. Each cottage has well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower.

Quiet, not too far from main road. Good place for watching Northern Light and star glazing. Kitchen quite well equipped and good for cooking simple cooking. Sufficient space for 4 person. Many heating panels in the house, so its not cold at night.

Very spacious room. Beautiful views out the window. Beds were really comfortable. They thought of all the little things. A place for your suitcase. A wall mirror. Hangers for your jackets. Spot under them for your shoes. A nice table to work from. Tv. Very fast wifi. Washroom was big and the shower was nice. very clean. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good. Thanks for a great stay!

This house comes highly recommended. It is located right on the main road, but is well protected by a wall and a pasture with (in our case) two Icelandic horses. The house leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is well thought out, practical, beautiful, and clean. A truly lovely place where you would want to stay longer. Self-check-in makes arrival times very flexible.
