Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

There was a lot of noise.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.Guest review byTPRUnited States

The bungalows are adjacent to Hotel Laki and breakfast was served there. Our bungalow was one of the original ones built in 1973. It was cute, if a little tired looking on the outside but lovely and clean on the inside. Might be a little cramped if there were more than two in the one bedroom bungalow. The shower was great. Next to all points of interest nearby such as Fjaðrárgljúfur and Skaftafell national park. The room we booked was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, lovely staff, the hotel is very spacious in the middle of nature with mountain and field views and had also nice facilities.
