The apartment is very modern, clean, nice, and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for our stay in the rooms and bathroom, as well as the fridge in our room. By the way, the snack and drink fridge in the corridor was also an amazing idea! The owners are very friendly and nice; they provided us with very useful information and instructions we needed for our stay, and they were always there to respond quickly to our questions, etc. What's more, it was so nice to receive their little welcome gift: Icelandic chocolate! We also loved this little charming city very much. We hope to come back again one day. Highly recommended! P.S. the location is amazing!

the restaurant is basic food but hearty and the view of the dairy cows adds so much to the whole experience. Their farm ice cream is sensational . the family room was very beautiful and more than enough space for 6 of us ( all adults) highly recommend farmstays in Iceland they are definitley the best way to experience this wonderful country

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

The location, right on the lake, is fantastic.

The location, right on the lake, is fantastic. The views of the lake bathed in the midnight light during the period of continuous daylight are breathtaking. They offer a laundry service by the load (6 kg, not per item); the price was the equivalent of €7 for washing and €7 for drying, which is no more than anywhere else. The mosquitoes (there are many) are annoying, of course, but they don't bite.

Views of the Northern Lights, tranquility, expansive views of the landscape, swimming pool with hot tub in the village, excellent starting point for individual sightseeing tours around the Golden Circle, "Krambudin" shopping center in the village. Restaurant in the village. Hot spring in the village. Gas station in the village. Top starting point for hikes.

A good base for the Golden Circle.

A good base for the Golden Circle. Although I find it far too touristy and only shows a fraction of this beautiful country. I would stay nearby and hike there. The nature bath is wonderful. We ate at a nearby hostel, which was fine, but not great. I would go to Lindin restaurant next time.

Bathrooms, showers and corridors are not heated and on other floors from the room, you leave your shoes at the entrance and they offer used cloth slippers, the shoe rack is better to avoid, more than a hotel it is a hostel but without use of kitchen, even the room is missing furniture

The hotel was very kind to attend to my additional request and everything went great. We were staying in a nice room, where there was no noise or anything disturbing the sleep, so we were able to rest before the next day. We also went to have a geothermal batch that is located a few minutes away by foot from the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and although the menu is quite simple we had a tasty meal (lamb). The staff of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a very good experience.

Great guesthouse in Laugarvatn, only a few minutes walking distance from the famous Fontana. Perfect for an overnight stop on the Golden Circle. Check-in was very simple (via code), parking directly in front of the guesthouse. We had a large room, very clean, spacious, and a very comfortable bed. Communication with our host was perfect, always available & quick to help. We were even able to see the Northern Lights not far from the guesthouse.

Charming cottage in the middle of the meadows with grazing sheep and singing birds. The cottage looks small from the outside but in fact it's a full-fledged hotel room of a good size with a fully equipped kitchenette and a comfortable bathroom. The cottage is nicely furnished, very clean. Would like to stay again.
