I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national...

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We have two separated rooms - it was nice with kids. We can pay for breakfast - it was optional. parking in front of the hotel. Near the hotel was supermarket and hot baths - Laugarvatn fontana. Really good localisation to see golden circle. Recommended

Lovely, warm, comfortable room. Easy check in. Wonderful location - highly recommend a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana spa and their soup, bread and rye bread. Beautiful surrounding scenery.
