The place seems to be converted from an old bank, and it’s got a nice vintage vibe. The view from the window is great too. The check-in location is about a 5-minute walk from where the rooms actually are, but overall, everything was really good.

The host sent us instructions before arrival and it was very helpful, I read lots of info about this property so I knew what to expect and I knew there wasn’t a separation between the “rooms” and it didn’t bother me. The apartment was really nice decorated and we felt very comfortable there, we made dinner and breakfast and the kitchen was well equipped. The drive to this apartment was the most beautiful drive of our 10 day trip, I didn’t know we had to drive up the snowy mountain to get down to this city and it was incredible. It’s a pity it was raining when we arrived and we couldn’t go out for a walk in the village and we didn’t see the northern lights, which we were very hopeful to see the lights in this city due to its prime location.

I loved everything about this cottage style house. Our apartment was on the ground floor. The living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms were reasonably spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and very cozy. Our friends stayed upstairs in another lovely apartment. Seyðisfjörður, is a lovely small town, in a valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains. The locals are all very friendly and we enjoyed lovely food in the nearby Aldan bar/restaurant. We stayed for the Sluice 2025 art event, but it would also make a great base for driving around and seeing all the other sights. If I am ever travelling in this region again, I would hope to stay in this cottage.

I can’t fault this property. Absolute waterfront and a beautiful room with quality fittings. The bed was very comfortable. We loved staying here.
