Helpful host, clear direction. Nice house surrounded by expanse view. Big parking area, easy to find. Big space in additional living area. When we booked, the property clearly state about bathroom. Like the kitchen and dining area is separated. ( can also eat inside kitchen area too) Situated nearby main road but feel solitude, which is nice. Great price & value overall.

The shower did not have a normal drain but rather had a space between the tiles for the water. We didn’t realize this immediately and water was EVERYWHERE. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the fresh bread is out of this world. Abundance of parking spaces (free) and we saw the aurora from this location.

The location of this resort is just perfect! It is peacefully and sublime that you wouldn't want to go elsewhere. All the queries were answered immediately and any issues were fixed without any Hassel. Overall the place is great to relax away and they have a thermal bath place as well. Huge and impressively clean apartment in a beautiful open nature! Love waking up to seeing nature and horses in faraway. Very well designed room with a good size and well equipped kitchenette. ! And that toilet need a mention with its well thought placement of rain shower head. Even the floor tiles are heated. Such a comfortable 3 nights stay in this lovely apartment. I couldn’t recommend more for anyone who’s heading nearby to stay there!

We stayed at Drangar for one night after a short Snæfellsnes tour and what was meant to be a simple stop turned into the main feature of our tour. This old farmhouse has been transformed into an up-to-date guesthouse/ hotel by award winning architects and it is located on a hillside above the ocean with amazing views on the islands of Drangar “bay” and a small internal beach. Both breakfast/ common rooms have views to this great landascape and the hiking trails will allow you to hike and relax by the sea and on the hills away from mass tourism. I loved our room, its interior design with everything we could possibly need (including well-known brands or handmade articles), the great bed and sitting area, the kitchenette which would have allowed us to cook there, had we stayed longer, and the squeaky clean bathroom. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the room and common areas were impressive, I couldn’t find one particle of dust anywhere!!! It was clear much of this had to do with the personal involvement of the hotel managers who were present at breakfast time, talking with the guests and offering hand-made bread and delicious marmelades and of course a full buffet with everything you might wish for. I loved staying at Drangar so much, that I am already planning a trip of more days there, in order to enjoy pure icelandic nature in a film-worthy farmhouse, feeling free and independent from anyone and avoiding crowded places on a tour in Iceland. This place is not just a hotel, it is also a concept, very icelandic and very feel-good!
