Actually we loved everything about this stay! Especially want to mention - the house is very new and clean. Kitchen is small but offers everything we needed. - although it was very windy during our stay, but we felt so safe and so cozy staying inside in the house and watching raining outside. Gave us kinda Iceland feeling! - maybe some people would find it a bit far away from the main road, but the drive to the house was just Amazing!! So we also enjoyed the drive very much - hot tube after a long hike was also one unforgettable experience

The view of the river from the porch was spectacular! This was the only place we stayed where we heard the local wildlife. We also enjoyed awaking to a dog to play with in the morning.

The cabin‘s position is very secluded, and lies in the countryside in the Borgarnes region. It is well equipped and there are lots of things to see and to do in the area around; it is also a perfect stop after arrival and before traveling north or westwards. The private hot tub is a huge plus, it is easy to handle and comes with a perfect views of the night sky - and northern lights if it’s the right time of year! Due to extreme cold one water pipe froze during my stay - and the hosts directly reacted and solved the issue - wonderful friendly service, thanks again!

Great cottage! It had everything needed, we made use of the super hot tub and gas barbecue! The bed was comfortable and the place looked modern. It was located in a remote place, which is good if you value privacy. You have some attractions nearby, including the glacier and lava caves.

The annual music festival was great as ever with fine program and performing artists. The new church has outstanding acoustics and do not forget do have a glance at the old church from 1887 and the Snorri Sturluson bath originated from 13th century.

We stayed about 20 min away in a private chalet. But there is a hotel there, location is good if you want to explore the western section of Iceland. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We very much enjoyed visiting Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. We loved Krauma and seeing the Deildartunguhver Hot Springs. We ate at Hotel Á and the Rock 'n' Troll restaurant--also one I would recommend.

Reykholt is best known as the home of Snorre Sturlason.

Reykholt is best known as the home of Snorre Sturlason. There is a small museum dedicated to him on site. Not very extensive, but it gives a good picture of his life and work. Otherwise, there is not much to say about the place. It is distinctly "a place on the road", but worth a stop, either just to visit the museum, or for an overnight stay at Fosshotell, which is located 100 meters from the museum.

Nice environment, very secluded, but we only spent a few hours here (arrival 10:00 PM, departure 8:00 AM), so we didn't get to see the place that well, it's a good location for a planned visit to the Langjökull glacier.

What I liked most was the setting, surrounded by nature, and the comfort of the rooms. The fact that they offered dinner was a nice touch, and the food was very good. What I liked least was the bathroom, which was small.

Everything was great.the information and the facilities. One of the best holiday homes I have rented. Everybody (8 persons) was over excited. Formidabele bedrooms with a bathroom in every room. Perfect sauna and hottub. And especially the living room was very good decorated with perfect furniture and luxurious. If you visit Iceland this house is very recommended especially because it's location is perfect. We stayed here for two days. But we could spent the complete week here :-)

Dinner was quite good for a Fosshotel (our experience of Fosshotel was mainly poor), and the restaurant manager was excellent (but not always present.....and with no apparent sub).
