Location was great. The hotel is run by a family. During our stay an orange alert was announced due to bad weather conditions. We were stuck in the hotel and the family was so kind they gave all the information for choosing a safe travel plan and they let us stay almost till the end of the day. Pretty new, extremely clean and lots of space in the room. Comfortable beds. Private bathroom. Good breakfast, actually it was a glad surprise compared to previous reviews. Location was also good close to Diamond Beach. Totally almost hotel level.

First time staying in hostel, wasnt sure how all works regarding shared things,information was provided yes and all read. Very happy that you still had your personal little house and toilet. Location was perfect ,stayed one night and very affordable,if needed would definetely come back.

We were able to check in a couple of hours in advance. The room was perfect, had an amazing view, very clean and spacious. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The guesthouse is situated in a fantastic location- 30 minutes away from the glacier lagoon, surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was also close to Höfn, where we had a nice dinner. The rooms were fine, not modern, but I think this was even better contributing to the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also nice, perfect for a start of long day on the road. Most important what we loved about the guesthouse was how nice everyone was! We were caught up in a snowstorm and couldn’t make it for our first night. They were so understanding! We even got a partial refund, although they didn’t really need to do it since it was not their fault we couldn’t make it. Overall we had a great stay in Brunnhóll.

Beautiful location, dirtroad of 4km easy without 4x4. We had the most beautiful room with the big windows.. Amazing to wake up at this place with these views! Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Two bathrooms is sufficient for a place with 5 rooms. Very reasonable price compared to other places in Iceland!
