The apartment is a gem. It's right next to the Skogafoss and you can plan the hikes around the waterfall while staying here. It had all kitchen utensils we needed to fry, heat food from the market. We were also able to see northern lights during our stay. The host gave clear instructions for self check-in

I had a fantastic stay at Skogar Hostel! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the stunning Skógafoss waterfall. The hostel is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Communication was okay, and everything was well-organised.     Rooms are ok , with enough space, a small table and a chair, a small sink and a wardrobe. Toilets and showers are clean and practical and the kitchen is well equipped and big enough, there is also two more common areas, a room with some sofas and another one with tables for eating.

    Just breathtaking waterfalls.

    Just breathtaking waterfalls. Plan some more time and hike the trail further towards the top. You will have less people there since majority of the visitors are staying at the main waterfall, but what comes after 30 minutes of hike is even better.

    Skogafoss is nice, but loses some of its charm due to overcrowding of tourists. I suggest a walk on the path that starts from the top of the stairway (appropriate footwear is required). In the first 3-5 kilometers there are wonderful and wild landscapes and falls

    Skogafoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, impressively large, and if there is even a little bit of sunshine, there will be a rain bow in front of the falls. The town of Skogar includes a noteworthy folk history museum.

    Very comfortable small hotel, I had 3 rooms for the family, and all have lovely views of fields, and sheep that mill around outside the window. Clean, comfortable and the kids particularly enjoyed the coffee machine with hot chocolate available at all times. Very close to Skoga waterfall, the plane wreck, a black sand beach and the two glaciers. Great breakfast - bacon was the best of the 5 hotels we stayed in. For dinner, we strolled up to Hotel Skogafoss that had good food.

    It's near skogafoss and kvernufoss, you can walk to skogafoss 30 mins and to kvernufoss 15/20mins, you can leave your car at the hostel so you do not have to pay the parking on both falls! Breakfast was good, plenty of choices, they have coffee machine and lot of choices of coffee

    Great location, walking distance to a black beach, good restaurant with extensive wine list, nice staff, smiling and efficient everywhere, restaurant, reception, bar. Rooms are comfortable with nice views on the wild land , really in the middle of the nature.

    Hotel Drangshlid is conveniently just off route 1 in a very quiet, scenic location. Our room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was nice. The included breakfast was ok.
