This was our favorite stay while we were in Iceland. When we booked we didn't have many reviews to go off of. When we got there it exceeded our expectations. The staff was accommodating, our room didn't have knives to cut with and our host provided them right away. We had no trouble using anything, everything was clean. We even saw the northern lights from right where we parked the car. I will say the best part was the heated floors in the bathroom! Again I could not say enough amazing things about this place.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar.

Very friendly staff, always available to help you. Great location with wonderful view of the lake and very spacious room with a modern and elegant style. In addition, superb breakfast and a restaurant with delicious food.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was clean, they had good drinks and the spa was quiet and not crowded at all. They also had a washing machine and dryer you could use for free. We went here in the middle of July.

The service here was absolutely wonderful, really above and beyond! The lounge area was great for happy hour and the rooms were cozy with a nice view of the snowy mountains.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away.

We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Everything is very good. The apartment has all the necessary and is very tidy, clean and cosy. The bed is superior, soft and extremely comfortable. Excellent location, with an incomparable view! The two dogs are very nice. The madam is friendly and helpful.

Spotless and very comfortable spots, within a 10min drive to town for all the necessities. It was well stocked with all the equipment you'd need. We had a private cabin and had an amazing stay. Also nice dark curtains. Would definitely recommend this spot and any accommodation type here.
