I was staying in Alessandria as a base to attend a wedding...
I was staying in Alessandria as a base to attend a wedding in a nearby town, so did not really do justice to visit all the possible sights. It seems a city with much cultural heritage including the cathedral and many churches. I had a great pizza meal at Ricci Le Nostre Pizza which was good value and I enjoyed it so much I went back there on my last night. The hotel decor is very quirky, with an eclectic mixture of furniture (mostly of the darker variety) in room and reception areas and making the visitor feel that they are going back in time. The receptionists, male and female, were polite and attentive and made us feel welcome after our long days drive.
