Anghiari is steeped in history its walls and narrow streets suddenly open to expansive vistas. Places to eat and drink are plentiful with a high standard of food and service for a relatively 'off the beaten track' settlement - food far better than Venice! There are many hill top towns/villages to visit - Poppi and Caprese Michaelangelo are stand out. Anghiari is the perfect small town to visit. The people are so friendly and helpful. The views and the sunsets are amazing. Well worth staying there for a few days. The grounds are stunning, the pool is perfect, the little villa we stayed in was super quiet and perfectly equipped for our stay. We love waking up to the chickens too!
