Arbus is a pleasant city to stay in as a base for trips to...
Arbus is a pleasant city to stay in as a base for trips to the beaches on the west side of Sardinia, specifically Scivu and Piscinas. Unfortunately, the drive there is pretty long and challenging. In addition, despite beaches being long and picturesque, they are also very windy. It is difficult to swim there because of strong wind and waves. The room was basic but nice with an amazing view of the fields, and very clean. The pool was nice and clean, and umbrella, beds, and towels are available for the guests. The staff is very kind, and the room price fair. All the hotel is well maintained. What we found above expectations was the dinner, served outdoor in the terrace, and an excellent menu. It felt outdated and poorly maintained, with a rather dull and old-fashioned interior. The room was quite small and not very comfortable. Noise was also an issue, both from inside the hotel (especially in the morning when the dining room opened) and from the street. Breakfast was very basic and nothing special. If you like to be in the middle of nowhere it is definitely a place for you. We liked the animals that were there especially the small dogs and cats that were just super adorable.
