The hotel was spotless and very nice, keeping a hotel this big so clean and well kept is impressive. The rooms big and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was nice and well priced. The young lad singing durning our aperitif was phenomenal and made the evening even more enjoyable. Lovely pools with plenty of space for everyone.

The location is absolutely fantastic, just across the road from the public hot springs, which are wonderful for a midnight dip. The Locanda allows access to the thermal pools at the Mercure hotel at the top of the hill, another stunning structure that we enjoyed very much. The rooms are spotless and the building is freshly renovated, looking very smart. Breakfast is amazing with fresh cakes and croissants baked fresh (the apple cake was gorgeous). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the kind of people you want to have around when on holiday we had a wonderful stay.

We didn't visit the area because there's not much to see;...

We didn't visit the area because there's not much to see; you have to get around by car. Unfortunately, there were roadworks, so the exits from the ring road were staggered. I recommend the Trattoria de Cacciatore in Pari and the tavern in Casciano.

Nice and beautiful SPA hotel.

Nice and beautiful SPA hotel. We stayed for two nights - in my opinion that's enough. Large SPA with all kinds of facilities. One big drawback: no drinking water facilities in the SPA area or pools. Nice and clean hotel room. Pretty standard continental food. Dinner can be ordered at the hotel restaurant or look for a restaurant in the surrounding cities.

This was the best of 4 different baths.

This was the best of 4 different baths. This is the warmest, I can imagine bathing in it at any time of year. There are several "pools" with different water temperatures, you can pitch a tent, it's dog-friendly, you can eat and drink at small stalls.

Even the waterfalls outside the structure are in very poor condition and poorly maintained and even more crowded. To try these waters you are forced to stay at the Mercure with 4-star prices and two-star services, but if you organize yourself and have lunch and dinner out, a couple of days are not enough to try this water rich in properties.

Beautiful natural hot springs.

Beautiful natural hot springs. Don't make the mistake of descending the most visible and accessible path, because the most beautiful springs are elsewhere. Facing the paid hot springs, a little to the left (2-3 minutes) is another descent into the woods. It's less visible, but you can glimpse the white pools. Beautiful!

I picked the hotel for it's location and spa facilities. All of these were fantastic and even beyond expectations! These aspects cannot be faulted .. it is a huge hotel. The room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and well laid out and in great condition. The room reflected the 4-5 star rating of the entire facility. Daily housekeeping kept the room in top condition for the duration of our stay which lasted 1 week in mid September.

The hotel is very well located, offering an impressive view of the valley. The swimming pools are pleasant, though there is a slight smell of sulfur due to the natural hot spring — which is completely normal. In fact, having direct access to hot spring pools within the hotel is a real advantage Breakfast and dinner quality were very good, and we appreciated the possibility to eat with a nice view.

The Spa is amazing. The lunch at the pool area was perfect. The room size and the shower were great. Even with a dog. The lady who gave us a massage was so nice and the massage was really good. Too expensive though compared to our 4 other Hotel massages we had during our vacation.
